Our government can print money, but the blood can't be reproduced. Hawaii needs the blood now.
Before Covid-19 approximately 1,100 people were donating blood a day, but after Covid-19 it has been decreased to 230 people a day in Hawaii.
After all hospital has reopened, the surgery rate went up drastically but due to lack of donation, there is not even one day’s supply of blood for some cases.
Blood donation is never easy. Its conditions are also demanding. But it is very important.
I have a personal experience receiving blood from donors. Blood saves lives. Let us take the lead in saving precious lives.
Money can be printed, but the blood can't be reproduced. Hawaii needs blood now.

코로나바이러스로 하와이에서 헌혈이 크게 줄었습니다. 하루 1,100명 정도 하던 헌혈이, 230명으로 줄었습니다.
현재, 병원이 재오픈하면서 수술환자는 크게 늘고 있지만, 헌혈은 더 줄어서 하루 필요량도 비축되어 있지 않습니다.
헌혈은 절대 쉽지 않습니다. 조건도 까다롭습니다. 그러나 매우 중요합니다.
저도 수혈받은 적이 있습니다. 피는 생명입니다. 생명을 구하는 일에 우리가 앞장섭시다.
돈은 찍어 낼 수 있지만, 피는 만들 수 없습니다. 지금 하와이가 피를 필요로 합니다. 우리가 합시다.
